Train Horns

When we moved into our apartment, one of the drawbacks was the super noisy train that went by over a million times a night - literally. Well Caitlin noticed this little sign that said that there wasn't a train horn. Interesting since the train horn BLARED all the time. So we had the thought to call the city and get them to suspend all train horns so that we would never have to listen to another screeching train horn again. How simple that would've been, right?

Well we never got around to calling the city, nor did we fret too much about the completely erroneous sign right next to the railroad. But then this past week we realized that somebody else must've called the city. No, the horns did not stop, but the sign was magically covered up by a black back and duct tape. Now even though we have to listen to the train horn, there is no false advertising saying that our neighborhood is free from train horns. Next time we have a scenario like this we will for sure call the city - we have that desire to be good citizens (Caitlin more than me) so we'll for sure have to make a bit more of an effort in getting things change.
