The Girl on Fire

We've been obsessed with the Hunger Games for a few years so when we learned that they were making a movie, we decided that no matter what, we would go to the midnight premier. As the day approached we got more and more excited. Caitlin reread the book. I designed a t-shirt to wear. And we went grocery shopping for ingredients to make the lamb stew that Katniss loved so much.
Here we are before the movie enjoying our stew.
Caitlin had her stew without plums.

I had mine with.

Our shirt design.

Waiting in line (seemed like forever).

After our meal we went and stood in line for what seemed like forever. The anticipation was killing us. But the movie was worth it. We were so pleased with how the movie turned out. It was such a treat to see the books we loved so much portrayed on the big screen. We for sure will go see it again, maybe not until it hits the cheap theaters, but we want to see it in theaters one more time before it's released on DVD. If you haven't seen it - or even worse - if you haven't read the books, DO IT! They are so great. Since the premier I've reread the first one and am now enjoying the second one. Can't wait to see Catching Fire in theaters too!
